    • The Buccaneers do not plan on...

The Buccaneers do not plan on naming a clear-cut starter between Barber and Doug Martin for Monday night's game against the Falcons, Greg Auman of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Analysis: Barber was impressive for a second consecutive game in Week 14 against the Lions, taking the reins of the Buccaneers' backfield in the second half and finishing with 58 yards on 12 carries. That tally came on the heels of a career-best 23-carry, 102-yard effort in Week 13, a contest in which Barber served as the clear-cut lead back when Martin was out with a concussion. With Tampa playing out the string at 4-9, head coach Dirk Koetter appears perfectly willing to ride whomever has the hot hand between his two ball carriers, potentially affording Barber a robust workload.

Evans injured his forearm Sunday against the Vikings and is questionable to return, Richard Skinner of WKRC-TV reports.

Analysis: Evans is listed as the starting weak-side linebacker in the absence of Vontaze Burfict (concussion). He was able to rack up 10 tackles (nine solo) in Week 14 against the Bears, but if Evans can't return, expect Hardy Nickerson and Brandon Bell to see extended snaps on defense.

Hicks (Achilles) said Friday that he'll have the walking boot on his right foot removed around Christmastime and expects to be a full participant when training camp next summer, Zach Berman of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Analysis: Hicks ruptured his right Achilles' tendon in an Oct. 23 win over the Redskins, with the Eagles shutting him down for the season and moving him to injured reserve shortly thereafter. It appears Hicks has progressed well over the past two months following surgery and expects to require only 4-to-7 more months to fully recover. Unless he endures any serious setbacks in his recovery, Hicks will likely resume manning the middle linebacker spot for the Eagles in Week 1 of next season.

Iloka injured his shoulder during Sunday's game against the Vikings and is doubtful to return, Richard Skinner of WKRC-TV reports.

Analysis: Iloka's absence will add to injury issues in the Bengals' secondary. He has 68 tackles (45 solo) and one interception through 13 games. Josh Shaw and Clayton Fejedelem will likely see an increase in defensive snaps in Iloka's absence.

    • Elliott is scheduled to report to...

Elliott is scheduled to report to the Cowboys on Monday when his six-game suspension comes to a conclusion, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Analysis: Since withdrawing his appeal of the suspension in mid-November, Elliott has been doing "intense training" in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico over the past six weeks, according to Rapoport. Elliott is said to be in terrific shape, with a recent picture of the second-year running back seemingly revealing a slimmer physique than he sported earlier in the season. The fact that Elliott has been able to keep himself in shape bodes well for his chances of reclaiming lead-back duties right away in Week 16 against the Seahawks as the Cowboys attempt to keep their playoff hopes alive.
