    • Brady will not be present for...

Brady will not be present for the opening of the Patriots' OTAs on Monday, ESPN's Mike Reiss reports.

Analysis: While the team's current round of OTAs are voluntary, Brady's absence is notable since it marks a variation from his offseason routine in past years. The quarterback has previously noted that his decision is motivated by a desire to spend more time with his family, as well as prepare himself to be "really rejuvenated" for the 2018 season. Brady's work ethic and fitness level aren't an issue here, but he is missing some opportunities to build rapport with his teammates. In any case, the veteran signal-caller has committed to playing this coming season, with Ian Rapoport of NFL Network suggesting that Brady is expected to be present for the team's mandatory minicamp in June.

Woods (undisclosed) cleared waivers and has reverted to injured reserve, according to the league's official transaction log.

Analysis: Woods was waived with an injury designation Thursday, but it isn't clear what he's dealing with. He's stuck on IR all season unless he and the Titans reach an injury settlement.

Calitro was waived by the Browns on Friday, Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon-Journal reports.

Analysis: Calitro is yet to appear in an NFL game since going undrafted out of Villanova in 2017. He'll become an unrestricted free agent if he passes through waivers unclaimed.

    • Gholston recently told new defensive line...

Gholston recently told new defensive line coach Brentson Buckner that he is down 15 pounds this offseason, Jenna Laine of ESPN.com reports.

Analysis: The veteran defensive end reported that he felt like he got "too big" last season, limiting his overall effectiveness. Gholston's numbers may bear that out, as he generated his fewest tackles (36) since his rookie 2013 campaign and failed to record a sack for the first time in his five-year career. The 26-year-old is slated to play more of a rotational defensive end role this season -- as opposed to serving as a clear-cut starter -- in the wake of the offseason signing of Vinny Curry.

    • Jones is expected to be absent...

Jones is expected to be absent for the start of the Falcons' OTAs on Monday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Analysis: Jones is supposedly looking for revised terms on his contract, which is set to pay the star receiver $10.5 million for the 2018 season. Jones agreed to a five-year, $71.25 million contract extension with Atlanta in August of 2015, but has since seen Antonio Brown and Mike Evans sign deals north of $16.5 million in annual value (compared to Jones' average annual payout of $14.25 million). NFL Insider Ian Rapoport seemed confident Friday that the team is agreeable to Jones' request, and will come back to the table to discuss an updated contract in the near future.
