Hurns will visit the Jets on Wednesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Analysis: Hurns was released by the Jaguars earlier Tuesday and won't waste any time in his search for a new team. The 26-year-old hauled in 39 of 56 passes for 484 yards (8.6 YPT) and two scores in 10 games last season. If he signs with the Jets, Hurns would compete with Robby Anderson, Jermaine Kearse and Quincy Enunwa (neck) for targets.

Meredith (knee) visited the Colts on Tuesday, Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune reports.

Analysis: Meredith is a restricted free agent the Bears opted to use an original-round tender, meaning they would receive no compensation should he signs an offer sheet with another team and the Bears decline to match it. The 25-year-old is drawing interest despite missing the entire 2017 season after tearing his ACL in August, and has a visit with another team on the horizon.

Bethel and the Falcons met at the team's facility on Tuesday afternoon, Vaughn McClure of reports.

Analysis: Bethel would offer improved depth at cornerback if he was to sign with Atlanta, but perhaps more significantly, he would also provide the team with an ace on special teams. In six seasons with Arizona, Bethel logged 14 starts at cornerback, intercepting four passes and returning three for touchdowns. More notably, he earned three consecutive trips to the Pro Bowl between 2013 and 2015 due to his impact on special teams.

Williams signed a contract with the Chiefs on Tuesday, Terez A. Paylor of The Kansas City Star reports.

Analysis: The Cardinals declined to match the Chiefs' offer on Williams, who was a restricted free agent in Arizona. Last season he recorded a career-high 20 tackles and also forced a fumble in 11 games (one start). Bennie Logan, the Chiefs starting nose tackle last season, remains a free agent, so there is a strong chance Williams could immediately find himself in a starting role.

Slater has signed a two-year deal to remain with the Patriots, Mike Reiss of reports.

Analysis: The 32-year-old rarely contributes on offense, but the 2008 fifth-rounder has been a mainstay on special teams for the Patriots since then and that's a role Slater will reprise in 2018.
